JSK - Janaki V/S State of Kerala Ro: High Court Judge Kochi Film Studio Watchs controversial films

Earlier, the court had sought a change in the CBFC’s revised committee and a change in the name ‘Janaki’ by the title and the hero’s name.

Kerala High Court Judge N. The city came to see Malayalam films at a private film studio in Padmugal near Kakkanad in Kochi in Kochi on Saturday (July July, 2525). JSK – Janaki V/S State of Kerala Union Minister Suresh Gopi has demanded the change of the title of the film as well as the name of the Titular character of Janaki, as the name of the Hindu Devi Sita also indicates the name of the Central Board Board Film Certification (CBFC).

The court on July 2 had stated on the petition of the film’s production company Cosmos Entertainments to give the CBFC a censor certificate to give the film before the decision was appropriate. The production company had requested the court to watch the film.

Earlier, the court had sought a change in the CBFC’s revised committee and a change in the name ‘Janaki’ by the title and the hero’s name. The board’s advice, which justified the demand for changing the name, claimed that Janaki in the film was sexually assaulted.

For this, the petitioner’s advice argued that Janaki, who was depicted in the film, is the character “soldier for justice”. He said that the CBFC did not tell any problem in ‘Janaki’ at the beginning of this year when his trailer was released. “The same board had also given a censor certificate to the film ‘Janaki Jaya’,” he pointed out.

The court said, “This character has become a victim who is fighting for justice and is not accused. In addition, in India, the names are a good share of Goddess and goddesses or equal to their names,” he said.

The case has been posted for hearing on July 9.
